CHRISTIAN LIFE: A LIFE OF EXCELLENCE (MK 7:37, RM 12:1-2, PS 148:13)

Excellence is derived from the Latin word 'excellentia'  meaning, to be eminent; to a certain degree in virtue. Is also seen as something or profession one excels in. The desire to do things with excellence is christlike. The christian is one who possess excellence spirit. It is the excellence spirit that works out in their life righteousness of God. Also, he or she determines in all that is done a great measure of exactness. They do not live differently in their homes, offices, and congregations. The spirit of excellence which is Holy Ghost powered allows the christian to be a man or woman of righteous standards. They are firm, purposeful, and focused first on heavenly matters thereafter other areas of concern.
It is this excellence that allows the christian to be in a functional growing relationship with his Creator. It is this excellent life that levereage him to love God and people. The excellent spirit empowers the christian to pattern his life to that of CHRIST. He live a balanced life always, irrespective of challenges for he knows his God is  an excellent God in all things. Jesus Christ is the chief of excellence (Mk 7:37), which is why, it was recorded that "He has done everything well" It is this same excellent spirit the christian must duplicate at all time.
The Apostle Paul knows the fact that christians are in, to be in the business of duplicating excellence that is why he admonised us to offer our bodies to God as living sacrifice that is holy and pleasing to God (Rm 12:1-2). He went further to declear to christians that they must not comform to non-excellence (the world), rather they ought to continually be transformed by the renewing of the mind.
Excellence as exhibited in christian life is not gained from good works rather it is a gift from God  (Jn 1:12). The christian with excellent spirit acknowledges that the God he serves ia an excellent God (Ps148:13). That His name is excellent and full of splendor. On the whole, the christian life is a life of Christ Jesus- a life of excellence. Christians live this life by duplicating the works of Christ while on Earth, as patterned in His word.
