REPENTANCE IS A COMMAND ACTS 17:30

God in His wisdom, longsuffering and abundant mercy, has set repentance as a command; to all who dwell on the Universe - be they small or great. One author renders the definition of Command as “an order that you have to follow (comply strictly), as long as the person who gives it has authority over you” It is a general belief that God Almighty has sovereign and unquestionable Authority over every created creature on the Universe. This discourse is to further advance what Paul told the Athenians of his day. Kindly read on.
DAYS OF IGNORANCE ARE OVER
And He has at time past over looked the sins of mankind (Acts 17:30a). This is the era of increased knowledge (Daniel 12:4). Access to, and use of available information. Well informed methods of research. Generation, storage, and retrieval of information have reached advanced stage. Thus, men are increasingly aware of happenings in and around their environment. The days of ignorance are over. Yes, over indeed!
NOT BEING DISOBEDIENT TO THIS COMMAND
And Paul went on to say that he was not disobedient to the heavenly Vision (Acts 26:19). For Christ was sent not to condemn anyone, but the world through Him is saved from destruction (John 3:17). The command of repentance is for all – that is, anyone created by God Almighty has to obey this command (order from above); for his/her salvation. For salvation cannot be bought with any amount of money. Salvation is a gift from God after consistent obedience is carried out.
DEMONSTRATING REPENTANCE BY DEEDS
…And then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. (Acts 26:20). …But now He Commands all people everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30b). After obeying, then repent, our correspondent deeds must show that; truly we have repented. And do His work; by doing according as Christ Jesus did. For He is the author and finisher of our faith.
END NOTE
You have done noble, reading up to this line. I strongly believe you have repented as this word of God comes to you.  Well, if you did not, another opportunity is here again for you to give it all up for your Maker. Hence, say the following aloud: Lord Jesus, I do believe you died for my sins, I welcome you permanently in to my heart/life, I surrender all of me to You. Indwell me by Your Spirit and forgive my sins. Amen!
