PATTERNS OF PRAYER (MATT. 6:1-13; JAMES 1:17, 5:16B; DAN. 9:3-4 JOB 42:1-6; GEN. 18:23; HEB. 4:16)

Prayer is said to be the act of communication to ones God. It is also a request or a plea made to someone in authority to the granting of individual of collective need. You may agree with me that there are patterns of prayer; hence there are ways and/or methods one could use to offer prayer that is accepted to his God. And there could as well be prayer that is not ordered aright to one’s God; and therefore becoming unanswered prayer.
This article determines to bring to our knowledge the right patterns one could use to make prayer to God almighty. It is also a reminder to those who already know this. As it will be to us like a booster and validation of previous knowledge.
HOW TO PRAY (MATT. 6:1-13)
Endeavor to get this right, the act of prayer itself is an age long activity. Classic bible characters have benefited from the process and act of prayer. The lines below show the prayer of two individuals- one is agony (misery) prayer the other is gratitude (confidence) prayer.
MISERY PRAYER:
O’ Lord, our Father, I am a miserable offender, I have gone astray, and all my body is full of sin and iniquity. I have left undone what I ought to do and I have done what I ought not to do. O Lord I have no power of my own within myself, have mercy upon me …. This prayer never goes beyond the level of mercy to that of grace and manifestation of God’s glory. Let’s consider another prayer.
CONFIDENCE PRAYER:
Before you Almighty God, God the Father, son and Holy Ghost. I thank You for offering Yourself unto us as Lord and Savior. Thank You for Your love over me, take all the glory, honor, and majesty always. Father, I thank You for my today is blessed and awesome. I walk in Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding and prudence. I am not poor in any way. Your strength in me dear Lord, enlarges my coast and I am not feeble in my finances, in my career and in all that concerns me. I am righteous and upright, I walk in divine providence and prosperity. Sound health is my portion and that of my family members. I constantly rejoice in the Holy Ghost, I have an excellent spirit in me.                                                                                            Thank you Father; for this I pray in Jesus…. (Hebrew 4:16).
The second person is confident and speaks or pray in that unction (divine and sanctifying grace). I tell you, the second person has utilized the appropriate pattern of prayer. Therefore God answers speedily (DAN. 9:3-4). While the first person receives mercy since he/she is a miserable offender, the second person obtains mercy, grace as well as divine providence among other things (JAMES 5:16).

CONCLUSION
Christians are admonished not to always remain in any misery state always making agony prayer, rather should move from that level to be coming faithful people making confident and gratitude filled prayer. God respond to such as fast as can be. Prayer is communication with God which includes listening to his word, worship, adoring and petitioning (HEB. 4:16 NIV), Him as well as confessing sins and interceding for others. It is also the act of calling on the name of the Lord (GEN. 18:23; ROM. 1:8-10). Praying in the right pattern is very essential to all Christians or believers.
FOCUS
All the scripture portions are to be meditatively read and faith (working hope), be applied to every prayer made to God. Confidence should be a virtue of every Christian. For God abhors cowardice.
